Acceptable Use Policy

The non-negotiables when using Seedream Studio. Especially relevant for generated images and video.

Last updated

1. Spirit of this policy

Seedream Studio is a creative tool. We assume good faith and want you to ship interesting work. This policy exists to protect users and third parties from a small set of harms that are non-negotiable — and to give us a clear basis for enforcement when those harms occur.

2. Prohibited content

You may not use the Service to generate, store, or share:

  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Any such material is reported to the relevant authorities and the account is permanently terminated.
  • Non-consensual sexual imagery, including imagery designed to depict identifiable individuals in sexual contexts without their consent.
  • Content that incites violence, terrorism, or self-harm; instructions for weapons of mass destruction.
  • Content that promotes hate against, or attempts to dehumanise, individuals based on protected characteristics (race, religion, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, disability, etc.).
  • Material designed to harass, intimidate, defame, or stalk a specific individual.
  • Counterfeit identification, financial documents, or instruments designed to deceive.

3. Prohibited conduct

You may not:

  • Attempt to bypass safety filters, rate limits, spend caps, or per-tenant isolation.
  • Use the Service to send unsolicited communications, spam, or phishing attempts.
  • Reverse-engineer the Service except to the extent permitted by applicable law.
  • Resell or sublicense the Service without a written agreement.
  • Use automated systems to overwhelm the Service or to scrape data belonging to other users.

4. Content involving minors

Generating, storing, or transmitting sexual content depicting minors is strictly prohibited. We use automated detection on generated outputs and act on every match. Confirmed CSAM is reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) or the equivalent regional authority.

5. Content depicting real people

Generated content depicting real, identifiable individuals requires that you have a lawful basis to do so (consent, public-figure context, parody, etc.) and that the depiction does not violate the prohibited-content rules above. You are solely responsible for the legality of such depictions in the jurisdictions where you publish them.

6. Intellectual property

Do not use the Service to generate content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights, including copyrights, trademarks, and rights of publicity. We honour DMCA-equivalent takedown requests at dmca@example.com.

7. Reporting violations

To report content that violates this policy, email abuse@example.com with the URL, image filename, or workspace identifier and a short description. We acknowledge reports within 1 business day and triage them according to severity.

8. Enforcement

Depending on severity, violations may result in any of the following, without notice:

  • Removal of the offending content.
  • Temporary suspension of generation rights.
  • Permanent termination of the account.
  • Reports to law enforcement, where required.

We log every enforcement action. You may appeal a decision by replying to the enforcement notification.
